As part of Civic Learning Week 2025, the Maryland Civic Education Coalition partnered with Maryland Public Television’s Maryland Center for Media Literacy & Education to host Empowering a Nation of Student Civic Leaders, a dynamic conversation on civic education, constitutional literacy, and the role of young people in strengthening democracy.

Featuring Congressman Jamie Raskin (MD-8), educators, and student leaders, this discussion explored the impact of the We the People program, the importance of civic readiness, and how civic learning can bridge divides in our society.
